Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026. This policy explains what personal data this website handles and why.

1. Website administrator

This website is administered by:

Group & Partners Head Office Scotland Subsidiari
West George Street
Glasgow
Scotland
G2 1BP
United Kingdom
Phone: +44 1267 541780

The administrator is the controller responsible for personal data processed through this website. This website is independent and is not operated by, affiliated with or endorsed by the Sandbanks Ferry operator.

2. Personal data we collect

  • Contact form data: your full name, email address, subject and message, and your confirmation that you have read this policy.
  • Technical data: your IP address, and the date and time of your submission, used for security, spam prevention and rate limiting. Our web server may also keep standard access logs (IP address, requested page, browser type, time).
  • Consent preference: your cookie choice, stored in your own browser (see our Cookie Policy).

We do not collect payment card details and never ask for them. We do not process ferry tolls.

3. Contact form submissions

When you submit the contact form, your message is sent by email to the website administrator through a configured email delivery service. A record of your IP address and submission time is kept temporarily to limit repeated submissions.

4. Purposes of processing

  • To read and respond to your enquiry or correction.
  • To protect the website from spam, abuse and security threats.
  • To keep the website running reliably.

5. Legal bases

Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, we rely on:

  • Legitimate interests — to respond to messages you send us, and to secure the website.
  • Consent — for any optional cookies, which you may withdraw at any time.

6. Data retention

  • Contact messages are kept for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, then deleted.
  • Rate-limiting records are kept for no longer than one hour.
  • Server access logs are typically kept for no longer than 30 days.

7. Third-party services

We use a hosting provider to serve the website and an email/SMTP delivery provider to transmit contact form messages. These providers act as processors on our behalf. We do not sell your data and do not currently use analytics or advertising services.

8. Data security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS and TLS for email delivery), input validation and access controls to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

9. International transfers

Our hosting or email providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement / Addendum.

10. Your privacy rights

You have the right to access, correct or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

11. Contact information

To exercise your rights or ask a question about this policy, use our contact form, call +44 1267 541780, or write to the administrator at the address above.
